Forty years across software engineering, enterprise programme leadership, and structured-assessment platform building — applied now to venture due diligence.
The company
EviDimensional, based in Driebergen, the Netherlands, is the company behind EviDimensional — an AI-powered venture assessment platform that produces analyst-grade due diligence on ventures across every stage.
The methodology evaluates a venture across thirty-seven dimensions of business value — twenty-two elemental and fifteen composite — each graded against a five-level evidence scale (E0–E5). The system runs against six readiness gates, seven valuation methods, and screens against five hundred tarpit patterns. Outputs map onto three product configurations: Public-Source DD (pre-engagement assessment from public information), Confidential-Source DD (in-depth assessment with confidential materials), and the Investor Readiness Suite (the full document architecture for a fundraising founder).
What an analyst team can take several weeks to produce, EviDimensional produces in 10 minutes — at roughly one tenth the cost of a classical commercial DD engagement.
The founder
Roelof Vuurboom is a software engineer turned operator turned mentor, with a forty-year career spanning operating-systems engineering, enterprise programme leadership, and structured-assessment platform building.
He began his career as a systems developer at Philips, where he wrote (in C) the distributed file system for the operating system that ran in ASML wafer steppers — the foundation of modern semiconductor lithography. He went on to product management roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, founded the internet consultancy practice at Atos, co-founded Siennax, and served as Business Unit Director at Mphasis with a €10M P&L across financial services clients including ABN Amro, Rabobank, and ING.
From 2003 to 2007 he built and led QA Systems, a SaaS platform for automated software quality assessment built on the ISO 9126 framework, with eleven global distribution partners. The intellectual lineage between QA Systems and EviDimensional is direct: the same methodology of structured, multi-dimensional assessment, applied first to software quality and now to ventures. He later directed the eighty-five-FTE Shell / Baker Hughes Radiant programme — a $50M subsurface-modelling project that received the first “no improvement required” rating in Shell IT audit history and won the Shell inter-company cooperation prize. A peer-reviewed paper on data provenance was published at the SPE Annual Technical Conference in Dubai in 2016.
Over the past several years he has mentored hundreds of founders through Dutch institutional programmes, focusing on AI and machine-learning ventures. Current and past associations include Rockstart, YES!Delft, Startupbootcamp, the Amsterdam Business School, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Tilburg University, Eindhoven University of Technology, and the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS) in Den Bosch. He holds an MSc Computer Science (cum laude) and a BSc Applied Mathematics, both from the University of Twente.
